On any given night around the world there are an average of 500,000 guests staying in an Airbnb. On some nights, that number climbs to one million. There are over 2.3 million Airbnb listings in 191 countries, hosted by over 640,000 Airbnb hosts, and Cowen analysts predict that Airbnb “room nights” will increase to half a billion by 2020 and one billion by the year 2025.

When I became an Airbnb host in 2014, the majority of my guests were new to Airbnb. Being sensitive to the trepidation that first time guests naturally feel about staying in what they rightfully regard as “a stranger’s” home, I was (and still am) especially careful to provide those new to Airbnb with lots of information, as well as answer all of their questions.

After learning the Airbnb growth statistics, I realized that there are going to be a lot more first time Airbnb guests for many years to come. With my love for Airbnb brand values and for personally hosting guests, I became the self-appointed Airbnb Expert. My overall goal is to help guests (and hosts) get the most from their Airbnb experience, by providing helpful tips. For guests, I also showcase hand-selected Airbnb recommendations from around the world for various budget needs – even those under $25 a night!

If you are new to Airbnb, I’d like to welcome you to the community. If you are considering becoming a guest, I promise you that you will be glad you did, and here’s a tip to start. To help ensure the best Airbnb experience, filter your searches by Super Host and be sure to read the reviews and the listing description.

To regular Airbnb guests, thank you for contributing to connecting us all to one another, one Airbnb host and guest at a time. I would also like to thank you for helping to strengthen the global shared economy, which I firmly support.

I hope you find my daily social media guest tips helpful and enjoy my hand-selected Airbnb listing recommendations. I also hope you find my weekly blogs uplifting, and that they serve to help you feel an even stronger sense of belonging to such an extraordinary global community of authentic and unique travelers and hosts.

Should you have any tips you’d like to share or questions you’d like to ask, I’d love to hear from you.
